Proven pairings for furniture, sorted by mood, straight from our studio shelves
A free guide from Shabby Frames N More · Jacksonville, Florida
Choosing a furniture color from 50 little chips is how good dressers end up beige. It works better backwards. Decide how you want the room to feel, then pick from the two or three combos that live in that mood. Every pairing below is one we have used on real furniture in the studio, so the guesswork is already done. Body is your main color. Accent is for drawers, trim, the back of a hutch, or that one brave door.
Cool colors calm a room and warm colors cozy it up. When in doubt, match the undertone of your floors.
Mist (#d7e2e8) + Seaside (#57787f). Use it on: bedroom dressers and nightstands. Mist keeps it airy, Seaside grounds the drawer fronts.

Champness (#849fa8) + Casement (#fbfbf9). Use it on: buffets and big hutches. Classic coastal blue with crisp white trim, forever in style.
